ZERO Scar on the Neck

"DA VINCI Method"

It is now possible to perform thyroid surgeries without leaving any scar on the neck. With the Da Vinci method, surgeries performed through the armpit eliminate even the 2 cm neck scar that may remain after conventional minimally invasive surgeries.

Among the centres worldwide equipped with robotic surgical systems (approximately 1,000 systems available globally), this procedure has also been started in Istanbul by Prof. Dr. Mete Düren, following centres in Texas, Brussels, and Athens.

The only requirement for patients to undergo this surgery is that their body mass index (BMI = weight / height²) must be below 30.

With this technique, patients can still return home after 24 hours, take a shower on the same day, and have no visible scar or stitches on their neck. The only incision is a completely hidden one located under the armpit.
